About Us
Apex Veterinary Neurology Consultants is a veterinary neurology teleconsultation service. Our service is available to primary care veterinarians and other veterinary specialists to consult on neurological cases. If you have those seizure patients, spinal cases, vestibular patients, or simply cases that are challenging to figure out, we are here to help. We will provide phone consultation, analyze video, or review imaging studies (spine or skull radiographs, CT or MRI). We realize that it can be challenging to reach a neurologist, especially in the later afternoons, evenings or on weekends, so we are here to assist. Our Doctor
Ronald P. Johnson
DVM, Diplomate ACVIM (Neurology)
Dr. Johnson received his undergraduate degree (BS) from the University of Central Florida, with a major in Liberal studies and a minor in Health Sciences. He was a scholarship athlete on the UCF football team from 1987-1991, earning Academic Football Player of the Year honors from 1989-1991. He was also an Academic All American. He received his DVM degree from the University of Florida in 1996, graduating with high honors. He continued his training with an Internship in medicine and surgery at Louisiana State University in 1997. He completed his Neurology/ Neurosurgery residency in 2001 at the University of Florida. Dr. Johnson has been in clinical practice since 2002 in the Atlanta metro area.
